Solomon is an Assistant Coach for our 18U BAEL team.
Solomon Searle is entering his second season as a baseball coach and his first year with the Cubs. A passionate student of the game, Solomon brings recent high-level playing experience and a strong appreciation for team culture to his role on the coaching staff.
Solomon previously coached with the Williston American Legion program and played collegiately at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California, a competitive CCCAA school. His playing career includes several notable achievements, including being named Strive American Legion MVP in 2022, earning All-Conference Shortstop honors with American Legion, serving as the starting shortstop at the College of the Redwoods in 2025, and being selected as team captain during the 2025 season.
As a coach, Solomon is committed to a team-first philosophy, placing a strong emphasis on building an exceptionally positive and unified team culture. He believes that success comes from trust, accountability, and respect between teammates.
Solomon began coaching to give back to the game that has given him so many opportunities, and he finds the most joy in helping others develop a genuine love for baseball. Outside of baseball, he is a student. His favourite MLB team is the Toronto Blue Jays, his favourite player is Gabriel Salazar-Mata of Mission University, and his go-to food choice is sushi.
