Ara Siemens Represents Alberta at 16U Girls Nationals

Calgary Cubs are proud to celebrate Ara Siemens, who proudly represented Alberta at the 2026 16U Girls National Championship in Moncton, New Brunswick, Aug 20-23rd.

Ara was selected to the Alberta 16U Girls Team, earning the opportunity to compete against some of the top young female baseball players from across the country at the national level. 

Team Alberta faced a competitive round-robin schedule throughout the championship, battling teams from across Canada. Among the highlights were two strong victories over Ontario, 10-7 and 11-5, along with hard-fought matchups against Quebec, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

For Ara, the experience was an incredible opportunity to compete on a national stage, represent her province and continue growing as a baseball player.

The Calgary Cubs are incredibly proud of Ara for earning this achievement and for representing both Alberta and the Cubs at Nationals.
