The Calgary Cubs are gearing up for one of the biggest opportunities in recent program history after receiving an exclusive invitation to the Road to Okotoks, the pathway to the 2026 Baseball Canada National Championship.
The Road to Okotoks is Baseball Canada's ultimate showcase of talent, competition, and championship spirit. The event brings together the strongest programs across Canada in a season-long journey culminating in the finals at Seaman Stadium.
The Cubs will open their campaign at the Alberta Regional Qualifier in Lethbridge, running May 28-31, where they will compete for a spot in the national championship. Those who advance will join 16 of Canada’s top 18U teams in Okotoks from July 14-19, 2026 (rain date July 20) to compete for the Morneau Cup.
Team leadership says the players are motivated and ready. “An invitation to the Road to Okotoks is a huge honour."
Athletes who want the chance to compete in the Road to Okotoks can register for upcoming Cubs tryouts, with selected players gaining access to elite-level training and national-calibre competition.
The Cubs’ Road to Okotoks starts May 28—excitement is building across the program.
