Supporting Cubs Family After Heartbreaking Loss

The Baseball Calgary community is coming together to support Jackie and her two sons, Dayton (19) and Luca (15), after the heartbreaking loss of their husband and father, Patrick, on November 17.

Patrick had been fighting serious health complications since December 2023, including a long battle with infection, kidney failure, a leg amputation, and ultimately organ failure. Over the past year he was in and out of the hospital, and the family faced overwhelming medication costs, parking fees, and the need for specialized equipment to support his care.

With Patrick’s passing, the family has lost both their loved one and the financial support of CPP Disability. The Go-Fund-Me is looking to help cover the immediate needs of daily living expenses, bills, groceries, school fees, and their mortgage.

As the boys move forward, one of the families biggest goals is to provide some normalcy for the boys—especially for Luca, who would love to continue his baseball journey, but at this time, the family isn't sure how they can manage those costs without support. 

This GoFundMe has been created to ease the family’s financial burden during an incredibly difficult time and to help provide stability and opportunity for Jackie and the boys as they navigate their loss.
